“Localism” Mural for Color of Charoenkrung Project

“LOCALISM” is our design contribution for "Color of Charoenkrung: Bring Back Colorful Life To The City", a project from the CEA(Creative Economy Agency) Vaccine campaign to help local artists and designers effected by COVID-19.

Charoenkrung is an old venerable area that interweaving the local life, traditional culture, and contemporary art together. Nowadays people with a new vision or new generation have more impact and participate in terms of developing areas into a creativity district which might make us forget about a simple unique local lives, trading business, or even a traditional culture that forms Charoenkrung as a particular area.

This work “LOCALISM” is a mural graphic that reminding people of the charm and way of lives in Charoenkrung by looking through the modern typography into iconic motifs around the district. The QR code in the design leads to an Augmented Reality motion graphics that reveal the hidden structure under the bold typography.
