Chiang Mai Design Week 2014 Catalog

"Born Creative" Catalog for Chiang Mai Design Week 2014, a 9 day design event that’s held in the city of Chiang Mai in northern Thailand. Organized by TCDC(Thailand Creative and Design Center).

We crafted about 300 pictograms that's inspired by the original designs of Chiang Mai(Lanna culture) through out the city's timelines to represent the long design history that reflects in modern design of Chiang Mai. For the booklet, we wanted to design something that people wouldn't want to throw away, which is the norm of event brochures or booklets that after the event is over they become trash, so we offer the alternative option or life after design, which is that each page of the booklet can be torn off to form a big poster of all the pictograms of Chiang Mai to express the bigger picture of the strong design scene that's everyone is a part of it.
